The Hartford Insurance Group alleged to have failed to pay injury claim

Insurance 11

GALVESTON – A League City couple alleges their insurer failed to pay their damages after an auto accident.

Chester Conrad and Maria Conrad filed a complaint on Sept. 6 in the Galveston County District Court against The Hartford Insurance Group, also known as The Hartford, alleging that the foreign insurer violated the Deceptive Trade Practices Act and the Texas Insurance Code.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 13, 2016, they were injured in a motor vehicle collision in a Houston parking lot. They allege their vehicle was insured by the defendant but the defendant failed to pay all amounts due under the personal injury protection clause.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek actual and exemplary damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of suit and such other lawful and equitable relief. They are represented by Rich Melendez of Melendez Law PC in Houston.
