Consumer claims Cadillac vehicle has defects that have not been repaired

GALVESTON – A League City consumer alleges a Cadillac he purchased has issues with steering, the transmission and more.

Robert Schuler filed a complaint on Sept. 7 in the Galveston County District Court against General Motors LLC alleging that the automobile manufacturer violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 18, 2015, he purchased a 2015 Cadillac Escalade from defendant's authorized dealer for approximately $86,697.62. Since purchase, he alleges he experienced non-conformities with the Escalade and as a result of the ineffective repair attempts, the vehicle cannot be used and is worthless and/or substantially impaired. 

The plaintiff seeks actual damages, including the purchase price of the vehicle, expert witness fees, attorney's fees and such other relief as the court deems just and proper. He is represented by G. Brad Riffe of The Riffe Law Firm PLLC in Frisco.
