HOUSTON – A Harris County man is seeking damages from two Houston Chevrolet dealers after they allegedly made faulty repairs his vehicle.
Cecil Tucker filed a complaint on Sept. 7 in the Harris County District Court against Seguin Chevrolet Inc. and Munday Chevrolet-Pontiac Inc. alleging that they violated the provisions of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff took his vehicle to Seguin Chevrolet in November 2016 for repairs and was charged nearly $4,000. He alleges in March, he took the vehicle to Munday Chevrolet for repairs, the defendant failed to complete the repair and charged the plaintiff more than $800 to retrieve his vehicle. He alleges he later needed to replace the entire engine at a cost of more than $5,700.
The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but not more than $200,000 and such other and further relief to which he is justly entitled to receive. She is represented by Kevin B. Miller, Mark A. Cevallos and Matthew J. Olivarez of Law Offices of Miller & Bicklein in San Antonio.
