BEAUMONT – An Echo Maintenance employee is seeking more than $1 million in damages after falling from a ladder at a Beaumont refinery.

Damian Castillo filed a complaint on Sept. 8 in the Jefferson County District Court against Exxon Mobile Corp., Brand Energy Solutions LLC and Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services Inc. alleging negligence.

The plaintiff alleges the fall was caused by the improper maintenance, equipment and placement of the scaffolding and ladder by the Brand defendants.
