Port of Beaumont alleges it is owed more than $18,000 from shipping company

BEAUMONT – A public seaport operator alleges that it has not been paid in full for services it provided.

Port of Beaumont, Navigation District of Jefferson County filed a complaint on Oct. 19 in the Jefferson County District Court against Holman Shipping Inc. and Jack Holman

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it provided dockage, fresh water and security services to defendants. As of July 2017, the principal amount of $18,364.25 allegedly remains due and unpaid. 

The plaintiff holds Holman Shipping Inc. and Holman responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to make timely payments for the said amount.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendants in the amount of $18,364.25, plus interest, attorney's fees and such other and further relief to which it is entitled. It is represented by Guy N. Goodson and Kate K. Leverett of Germer PLLC in Beaumont.
