HOUSTON – A Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County passenger is seeking damages after his foot went through the floor of a bus.

Shaun Reynolds filed a complaint on Nov. 1 in the Harris County District Court against Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 25, 2016, he was riding defendant's Bus No. 3348 traveling northbound on Fonden Drive approaching Westheimer. As he was exiting the rear of the bus, the suit states the floor gave way and his right foot went through it. He alleges he sustained serious and debilitating injuries.

The plaintiff holds Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to take preventive actions to avoid injuries and failed to properly maintain the bus.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $100,000, plus interest and all further relief that are legal and equitable. He is represented by John A. Clark of John A. Clark & Associates PC in Houston.
