Individuals accuse Crestwood Energy of fraud regarding well development

Law money 13

HOUSTON – Three Pennsylvania individuals are accusing a limited liability company and a Houston individual of fraud in regards to the development of a natural gas well.

Richard Bauder, Richard Haas, Brian Kiefer and Thomas Haas filed a complaint on Nov. 3, 2017, in the Harris County District Court against Crestwood Energy and Randy Massey alleging common law fraud, breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in May 2016, they entered into a contract with and gave checks in the total amount of $97,000 to defendants for their participation in a natural gas well. The plaintiffs allege there has been no contact since July 2017 with the defendants regarding the well.

The plaintiffs hold Crestwood Energy and Massey responsible because the defendants allegedly made false representations and/or promises for the purpose of inducing them to enter into a fraudulent contract.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other and further relief. They are represented by Charles Brown of Charles Brown Law Firm in Houston.
