D.R.T.G. Builders employee seeks damages after fall through roof

HOUSTON – A Houston man alleges he was injured while working on a construction site.

Carlos Anthony Vargas filed a complaint on Nov. 16 in the Harris County District Court against D.R.T.G. Builders LLC and Jose Padron alleging that they violated the Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 28, he was injured when he fell through an opening on the roof of a building he was working on while in the course and scope of his employment with the defendants. He alleges he sustained serious and disabling injuries resulting in pain and suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment and medical expenses in of more than $50,000. 

The plaintiff holds D.R.T.G. Builders LLC and Padron responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate training and supervision, failed to provide safety harness and failed to carry workers' compensation insurance coverage.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other lawful and just relief. He is represented by Edward J. Hennessy of The Hennessy Law Firm in Houston.
