MC Electric alleged to have not completed electrical work at Houston business

HOUSTON – A Houston business owner alleges a contractor he hired never completed an electrical job.

Michael Ogashi, doing business as WM Pipe Inc., filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in the Harris County District Court against Manuel Cuevas, doing business as MC Electric, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 11, 2016, he contracted defendant to perform certain electrical work at his business for a fee of $13,000. After his initial payment of $11,000, the suit states the defendant never completed the job. The plaintiff alleges he was forced to hire a new electrical company to finish the job. 

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in the sum of $21,293.46, post-judgment interest, attorney's fees, costs and such other special and equitable relief. He is represented by Samuel E. Ejiofor of Samuel Ejiofor & Associates in Houston.
