METRO passenger alleges slippery floor caused fall

Slip02

HOUSTON – A Houston woman alleges she was injured on METRO property because of a slippery substance.

Louella Hill filed a complaint on Jan. 22 in the Harris County District Court against METRO alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was at defendant's premises to ride a bus and was seriously injured when she fell due to a slippery substance on the floor.

She alleges she suffered injuries to her back and leg that resulted in pain and suffering, medical expenses, physical impairment and mental anguish.

The plaintiff holds METRO responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently permitted the floor to remain slippery and failed to provide adequate warning of the existence of an unsafe condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but less than $200,000 and such other lawful and equitable relief. She is represented by Floyd James Sr. of Floyd James Sr. & Associates PC in Houston.
