BEAUMONT – A Jefferson County man alleges that he was injured while unloading vehicles because his employer failed to provide a safe working environment.

Brent Haff filed a complaint on April 10 in the Jefferson County District Court against CDB Transport LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 1, 2017, he was injured while in the course and scope of his employment with defendant and was hauling and unloading salvage vehicles. He alleges he was injured when a vehicle ran backward and rolled over him.

The plaintiff holds CDB Transport LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide appropriate equipment and failed to provide a safe working environment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and all other relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by Benjamin Kennedy and John A. Daspit of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
