HOUSTON – Servers of a Thai restaurant allege the business wrongfully kept part of their tips.

Saowalak Pimpanit, et al. filed a complaint on July 19 in the Harris County District Court against Phumwarng Inc., Thai Gourmet Restaurant, et al. alleging unlawful conversion, unlawful termination and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs were food servers for the defendants and allege the defendants would retain their tips without their consent or permission. They allege the defendants would only pay a portion of their tips and the defendants kept the remainder of them.

Pimpanit also alleges she was falsely accused of theft of the defendants' property and wrongfully terminated.

The plaintiffs hold Phumwarng Inc., Thai Gourmet Restaurant, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiffs what they were rightfully entitled to.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants in excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court and such other and further relief to which they may be entitled. They are represented by Richard E. Anderson of Richard E. Anderson, Attorney at Law in Houston.
