GALVESTON – National Cotton Inc., doing business as Pier 77 Marine Service, has filed a breach of contract lawsuit against a Mississippi boat owner.

Court papers allege that Clifford Shillingford owes the plaintiff $21,815.29 for the storage of his vessel, the Belladonna.

Both parties reportedly entered into an agreement on Sept. 1, 2017. According to the original petition, the boat is still at the plaintiff’s facility and continues to incur storage charges.

“The vessel will continue to incur storage charges until removed from the plaintiff’s facility,” the original petition says. “Due demand has been made and disregarded.”

William H. Seele of the law firm Julian & Seele, P.C. in Houston is representing the complainant.
