HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges he lost two fingers as a result of injuries sustained while he was unloading a truck while working.

Eduardo Hernandez filed a complaint on Oct. 23 in the Harris County District Court against Abraham F. Management Inc. and Ismail Fuad Omran alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 23, he was working for the defendants and was helping a co-worker unload a tractor-trailer of materials. He alleges the co-worker pushed the roughly 300-pound bars they were unloading and his fingers "snapped," causing pain. The suit states he lost two fingers on his left hand as a result.

The plaintiff holds Abraham F. Management Inc. and Omran responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate instruction and supervision and failed to warn of the unsafe condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Kevin M. Chavez of Kevin M. Chavez PLLC in Houston.
