HOUSTON – A Harris County resident alleges a clear substance on the floor caused her to fall and land on broken glass.

Shelbi Kowis filed a complaint on Oct. 24 in the Harris County District Court against Kung Fu Saloon Holdings LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 5 she was a patron of defendant's Kung Fu Saloon bar when he slipped on a clear substance on the floor and fell on broken glass. She alleges she sustained severe bodily injuries resulting in medical expenses, pain and suffering, physical impairment and disfigurement and lost wages.

The plaintiff holds Kung Fu Saloon Holdings LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to correct the dangerous condition and failed to provide adequate warning about it.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by John A. Daspit of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
