HOUSTON – A Houston business owner alleges a contract with FedEx caused financial injury.

Tramell Kukoyi and Pronto Shipping and Packaging Services Inc. filed a complaint on Jan. 8 in the Harris County District Court against FedEx Corp., et al. alleging breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, Kukoyi owns packing, shipping and business service company Pronto Shipping and Packaging Services. The suit states Kukoyi contracted with FedEx as a contractor and the contract allowed the plaintiffs to use their trucks to cover FedEx Ground Terminal shipments.

The plaintiffs allege the defendants inaccurately reported runs and intentionally recorded rejected runs, which caused them to lose additional shipping contracts, loss of additional runs and financial losses. The plaintiffs allege they were "forced" to terminate and sell the contract to avoid going bankrupt.

The plaintiffs hold FedEx Corp., et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly interfered with the plaintiffs' contract and caused them injury.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek monetary relief of more than $100,000 and such other and further relief to which they may be justly entitled. They are represented by James Q. Pope of The Pope Law Firm in Houston.
