HOUSTON – A Louisiana woman has brought a personal injury lawsuit against the owners and operators of a funeral home in Longview.

In the complaint filed against Gibraltar Mausoleum of Texas, Inc. and Gibraltar Mausoleum of Texas C/O SCI Management, L.P. on Jan. 11 in the Harris County 127th District Court, Linda Aldy explains that she was attending a funeral at the defendant’s Lakeview Funeral Home in Longview on Aug. 31, 2017 when she “fell into a hole in the parking lot” on the premises.

Aldy reportedly sustained injuries to her left leg, left hip, and general body.

She asserts the respondents failed to “inspect, maintain, and warn of any unsafe or dangerous conditions at the funeral home.”

“Nothing the plaintiff did or failed to do caused or in any way contributed to cause her injuries,” court documents argue.

Consequently, Aldy seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

She is represented by the law firm Stevenson & Murray in Houston.
