HOUSTON — A Cypress woman is suing a family, alleging she was attacked by a dangerous dog.

Jennifer Maciejewski filed a complaint March 27 in Harris County District Court against Keith Ford Sr., Keith Ford Jr., Mary Ford and Ciera Ford, alleging gross negligence for the unprovoked attack.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 23, 2017, Maciejewski was attacked by the Fords' dog Bullet at 27210 Windy Grove Lane, Cypress. The plaintiff says the dog was outside its usual enclosure and was unmuzzled and unleashed.

Maciejewski says she sustained physical pain, mental anguish and hospital expenses. The suit alleges the dog previously had severely bitten at least one other person.

Maciejewski seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, actual and exemplary damages, plus costs of court and interest. She is represented by Paul H. Cannon and Rebecca L. Todd of Simmons & Fletcher in Houston.
