CPA accuses business partner of fraud

HOUSTON — A certified public accountant is suing her business partner, alleging fraud.

TN CPA PC and Tina Nguyen filed a complaint March 28 in Harris County District Court against Wendy B. Nguyen and Minerva L. Cariaga, alleging unfair compensation, tortious interference, breach of fiduciary duties, conversion and fraud.

According to the complaint Tina Nguyen is the owner of an accounting services company that has been in business since 2010. The suit says the plaintiff and Wendy Nguyen decided to work together in 2012 with a 50-50 ownership. 

The plaintiff alleges Wendy Nguyen has since has failed iher obligations, such as paying the rent, and has engaged in forgery, fraud and false advertising, causing the plaintiff economic damages.

Tina Nguyen seeks trial by jury, court costs, damages between $200,000 and $1 million, exemplary damages, and all other just relief. She is represented by attorneys E. Michelle Bohreer, Todd J. Zucker and Pritesh Soni of Bohreer & Zucker LLP in Houston.
