Customers accuse home builder of poor work

HOUSTON — Four Harris County customers are suing a home builder, alleging its construction work was done poorly.

Armand Jawanmardi, Timothy Hart, Nicholas Schilling and Juan Carlos Sanchez filed a complaint April 10 in Harris County District Court against K. Smith Homes Ltd., doing business as Avalon Homes, alleging breach of implied warranty, deceptive trade practices and negligence.

The complaint states the the plaintiffs homes in Harris County were built by Avlalon Homes in 2014. Howeever, the the plaintiffs say they soon began to notice defects in the property, which the defendant has failed to remedy, causing the plaintiffs to suffer economic losses.

The plaintiffs seek relief of more than $1 million, exemplary, treble and punitive damages, interest, attorney fees, court costs and all other just relief. They are represented by attorneys Robert C. Lane and Jack Kitchen of The Lane Law Firm PLLC in Houston
