Realtor alleges companies refused to supply requested records

HOUSTON — A New York realtor is suing two companies, alleging he was not provided records that he requested.

Surit Singh of Nassau County, New York, filed a complaint July 11 in Harris County District Court against Yogi International LLC and USA Scrap & Metal LLC, alleging failure to respond to requests.

The plaintiff says he has retained a law firm to make written records requests to the defendants. Singh alleges he made separate requests to the defendants on May 28, to analyze the financial health of the companies. The requests, the suit alleges, were not heeded by the defendants, which has frustrated the plaintiff.

Singh seeks monetary relief of up to $100,000, trial by jury, attorney fees, court costs and other just relief. He is represented by attorneys Kent M. Hanszen and Zachary Smith of Hanzen Laporte LLP in Houston.
