Customer alleges Lowe's Home Centers' negligence led to fall

HOUSTON — A Houston man is suing Lowe's Home Centers, alleging he was injured in a fall at one of the defendant's stores in Austin.

Manuel Delarosa filed a complaint July 11 in Harris County District Court against Lowe's Home Centers LLC, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 18 Delarosa was at the Lowe's, 211 E. 7th St. Suite 620, Austin. The suit alleges Delarosa bumped his left side into a row of shopping carts that had been left behind him, causing him to fall to the ground. The plaintiff says he sustained a number of injuries, leading to pain, mental anguish, impairment and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Lowe's failed to maintain a safe environment.

Delarosa seeks monetary relief between $100,000 and $200,000, actual damages, interest, court costs and all other just relief. He is represented by attorney Roshun A. Phipps of Bronston Legal P.C. in Houston.
