HOUSTON — A Harris County man is suing a Houston apartment complex, alleging he was shot and stabbed after visiting a tenant.

Justyn Bradley filed a complaint July 11 in Harris County District Court against Globix Palms LLC, doing business as The Palms at Cypress Station, alleging negligence and liability.

According to the complaint, Bradley was visiting a tenant on the defendant's property, 990 Cypress Station Drive, Houston, on July 13, 2018. The suit alleges Bradley was walking toward his vehicle to go home when he was hit by a number of gunshots and then beaten, stabbed and robbed.

Bradley says the incident resulted in him losing his right kidney, a portion of his colon and overall loss of wellbeing. The plaintiff alleges he also required a number of surgeries to remedy his condition and he has been severely limited in his ability to work.

The suit alleges the incident took place due to the negligence of The Palms at Cypress Station through failing to ensure that the property was secure and safe for tenants and visitors.

Bradley seeks more than $1 million in damages, trial by jury, actual damages, court costs, medical bills, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by attorney Alexander M. Defreitas of Houston.
