HOUSTON — A Los Angeles ticket company is suing a Houston man whom they allege defrauded the plaintiff for $500,000.

Vivendi Ticketing US LLC, doing business as See Tickets, filed a complaint July 19 in Harris County District Court against Omar Afra, alleging fraud.

According to the complaint, Afra, a well-known event producer, made numerous false representations to See Tickets between Dec. 8-22, 2017, regarding an upcoming music festival and potential expansion in business during the coming years. The defendant, who allegedly knew the statements were false and misleading, caused the plaintiff to enter into an agreement, which included wiring $500,000 to Afra.

The plaintiff alleges it has sustained financial damages due to the defendant's fraud.

See Tickets seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, judgment and all other just relief. It is represented by attorney Robert J. Witte of Clark Hill Strasburger in Dallas.
