JONES DAY: Thomas York elected to leadership of State Bar of Texas Antitrust Section

Jones Day issued the following announcement on Aug. 9.

Thomas D. York, an associate in Jones Day's Antitrust & Competition Law Practice, was elected Chair of the State Bar of Texas' Antitrust & Business Litigation Section at its annual meeting in Dallas. The Antitrust Section sponsors seminars on topics relevant to Texas practitioners, publishes on antitrust and complex business litigation, and provides recommendations on antitrust enforcement. Mr. York will serve as the Antitrust Section's Chair-Elect through June 2020 and as Chair from June 2020-2021.

Mr. York's practice focuses on antitrust litigation, merger review, and civil and criminal antitrust investigations. He is experienced with a wide range of industries, including aviation, consumer products, emerging technology, health care, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, and sports.

Mr. York is an active leader in bar association activities. He currently serves as Chair of the Dallas Bar Association's Antitrust & Trade Regulation Section as well as the Vice Chair of the Transportation and Energy Industries Committee of the American Bar Association's Section of Antitrust Law.
