HOUSTON — A Houston trucking company is suing a former employee, alleging she deleted sensitive information after being reprimanded.

North Houston Carriers LLC filed a complaint Aug. 19 in Harris County District Court against Diana Carreon and Marie Carreon, alleging breach of fiduciary duty and violation of the Texas Family Code.

According to the complaint, the NHC owner admonished Diana Carreon for unprofessional behavior April 30. The suit states Carreon, a minor at the time, proceeded to resign her position and then stayed after work in order to delete 142 electronic folders that contained important information about customers, contracts and communications.

The plaintiff alleges Carreon nearly put NHC out of business and cost thousands of dollars in damage.

North Houston Carriers seeks attorney fees, actual damages, interest, court costs and all just relief. It is represented by attorney John Bruster Loyd of Jones, Gillaspia & Loyd LLP in Houston.
