Nguyen & Chen law firm alleges client failed to pay $17,000

HOUSTON — A Houston law firm is suing a client who allegedly has failed to pay more than $17,000 for work delivered.

Nguyen & Chen LLP filed a complaint Aug. 19 in Harris County District Court against Zhaohong Wu, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Nguyen & Chen agreed to provide legal services to Wu for a retainer of $3,000 as well as an hourly rate of $185. The plaintiff alleges it provided substantial services to the defendant from May 2017 to May 2018. 

The suit alleges the plaintiff sent Wu an invoice for $17,166.55 but the defendant has failed to pay for the work done.

Nguyen & Chen seek more than $50,000, attorney fees, interest and all just relief. It is represented by attorneys Anissah M. Andang, Randall Towns of Nguyen & Chen LLP in Houston.
