Nordstrom customer alleges she slipped on security device left on floor

HOUSTON — Nordstrom faces a negligence suit from a customer who allegedly slipped on a part of a security device at its Houston Galleria department store. 

Lois Rosen filed a complaint  Nov. 26 in Harris County District Court against Nordstrom Inc., alleging negligence/premises liability. 

According to complaint, Rosen was shopping at Nordstrom's Houston Galleria department store Nov. 30, 2017. The suit states Rosen she slipped on a "dislodged security device" that had been left on the floor. 

The plaintiff alleges she fell "violently to the floor," according and sustained injuries, mental anguish, disfigurement and medical expenses. She alleges a piece of the security device was still attached to her shoe after the incident. 

Rosen seeks monetary relief between $1 million and $2 million, trial by jury, interest, costs of court and all other just relief. She is represented by attorneys Jordan Glaze and Josh Garrett of Glaze/Garrett PLLC in Gilmer.
