Former Amerihome employee alleges negligence after arm caught in washer/dryer

HOUSTON — A former Amerihome employee alleges her arm was caught in a washer/dryer due to negligence.

Telsa Scott Filed a complaint  Nov. 26 in the Harris County District Court against 16410 Amerihome LLC, alleging negligence and premises liability. 

According to the complaint, on Dec. 11, 2018, while working for Amerihome, Scott's arm was suddenly caught in a washer/dryer causing her to suffer "severe" injuries and mental anguish. 

The plaintiff alleges her injuries were a result of the hazardous machine and that Amerihome had failed to take the necessary precautions to protect her from the hazard. 

Scott seeks monetary relief in excess of $1 million, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by attorneys Brent Cordell and Antone Peterson of Smith & Hassler in Houston.
