Man claims Freeway Trucks sold him defective truck that had been salvaged

HOUSTON — Freeway Truck Sales is facing a suit filed by a man who claims the truck he purchased was defective and had been salvaged. 

Terence Adams filed a complaint Dec. 31 in the Harris County District Court against Freeway Truck Sales, Inc., alleging breach of contract and breach of deceptive practices.

Adams purchased a 2005 Peterbilt Truck from Freeway on June 28, 2018 for $37,500. He alleges after taking possession of the truck, it began to malfunction and required repairs. Adams also claims while registering the truck in July of 2018, he found the vehicle had been rebuilt or salvaged and was worth less than $20,000. 

Adams seeks monetary relief in excess of $75,000 and all other just relief. He is represented by Attorney Kurt Clarke in Houston.
