Parked motorist alleges another driver ran into her vehicle

GALVESTON — A Galveston County woman is suing a motorist who allegedly struck the plaintiff's parked car, causing injuries.

Jessica Watson filed a complaint June 17 in the Galveston County District Court against Olivia Esperanza, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Watson was in a parked vehicle at 4600 Ave. J, Galveston, when her vehicle was struck by the car of the defendant who was driving in a negligent manner by failing to apply her brakes and failing to keep a proper lookout. The plaintiff alleges she sustained serious injuries, leading to pain, suffering, mental anguish and loss of the use of her vehicle.

Watson seeks between $200,000 and $1 million, trial by jury, costs of court, interest and all just relief. She is represented by atorneys Robert J. Freed II and John Arthur Daspit of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
