GALVESTON — A La Marque development company is suing a client who has allegedly failed to pay for more than $60,000 in leases.

LaMarque Outlet Development LP filed a complaint July 10 in Galveston County District Court against Jon Michael Calvillo, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff and defendant entered into a lease agreement for a 4,800-square foot property at Gulfway Plaza in La Marque on Feb. 9, 2016. The suit alleges the lease was set to expire Jan. 31, 2019, but Calvillo has failed to comply with the terms of the agreement and is indebted to the plaintiff for the balance of $64,431.90.

LaMarque Outlet Development seeks between $100,000 and $200,000, attorney fees, court costs, interest and all other just relief. It is represented by attorneys Brian W. Clark and Emily E. Green of Kane Russell Coleman Logan PC in Dallas.
