Bakery franchise faces suit alleging it failed to pay workers overtime

SHERMAN —  A worker claims he and others who worked for a bakery franchise were not paid for overtime. 

Andre Baker, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated filed a complaint  March 17 in the Sherman Division of the Eastern District of Texas  against Kodako Inc., Tobiasko Inc., Kofrisko LLC and Sangmin Kang alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act. 

Baker worked for at the defendant's three franchise locations as a baker, delivery driver and cashier. He alleges that he and other workers were paid a salary of $500 or $550 per week no matter how many hours they worked. Baker claims he often worked 66 hours, six days a week without overtime pay. 

Baker seeks monetary relief, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Philip Bohrer and Scott Brady of Bohrer Brady LLC in Baton Rouge.
