Dykema’s Dallas Office Adds Corporate Oil and Gas Attorney Megan R. Knell

Dykema, a leading national law firm, announced the addition of Megan Knell as a Member in the firm’s Corporate Finance practice and Energy industry groups resident in its Dallas office. She joins Dykema after practicing at Harris, Finley & Bogle, P.C.

Knell has more than 10 years of experience advising clients in oil and gas transactional matters. She represents exploration and production (E&P) companies, mineral buyers, and mineral owners in acquisitions and dispositions of upstream oil and gas assets, negotiating joint development arrangements, resolution of royalty/revenue payment disputes and title issues, and the negotiation of various other agreements related to the exploration and production of oil and gas.

Knell, who is Board-Certified in Oil, Gas, and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, is active in professional and industry organizations. She is a Board Member of ADAM Energy Fort Worth and a Member of the Women’s Energy Network; the Oil, Gas, and Energy Resources Section of the State Bar of Texas; and the Energy Section of the Tarrant County Bar.

“Dykema’s Dallas office has long had robust energy litigation capabilities, but the addition of Megan Knell to our oil and gas team gives us a transactional capability in the energy space that we have not previously had in North Texas,” said Chris Kratovil, Managing Member of Dykema’s Dallas office. “We’re proud to add Megan, a Board-Certified oil and gas specialist who has worked on a diverse array of transactions, to our energy team in Dallas.”

Knell earned a J.D. from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law and a B.A. from Texas A&M University.
