Woman slips on the way to restroom, sues El Ahorro Supermarket

HOUSTON - A slip and fall lawsuit seeking between $250,000 and $1 million has been filed against El Ahorro Supermarket #18.

Maria Cabrera Vazquez filed the suit Oct. 17 in Harris County District Court. 

According to the lawsuit, on May 14, 2022, Vazquez was shopping in the defendant’s store. She was entering the restrooms when she slipped and fell as a result of dangerous conditions outside of the restrooms.

“Defendant was aware, or should have been aware, of the dangerous conditions of the premises prior to Ms. Cabrera Vazquez’s injuries,” the suit states. “As a proximate result of Defendant’s negligence and gross negligence, Ms. Cabrera Vazquez suffered severe and debilitating injuries, including injuries to her back.”

The plaintiff is represented by Everett Day & Associates in Houston.
