HOUSTON - A lawsuit alleging a woman slipped on liquid coming from an ice machine has been brought against Fiesta Mart and Reddy Ice.
Seeking less than $1 million in damages, Juana Diaz filed the suit on Dec. 30 in Harris County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, two years earlier on Dec. 30, 2021, Diaz was at a Houston Fiesta Mart when she slipped on liquid that she believes was coming from an ice machine and fell to the floor.
The lawsuit asserts that the aisle floor was not slip resistant and that the defendant did not adequately maintain the aisle.
The plaintiff is suing for her past and future mental anguish, lost earnings, disfigurement, impairment and medical care.
