Suit against city of Houston alleges woman slipped on sidewalk

HOUSTON - A woman is suing the city of Houston after she slipped and fell while walking on a sidewalk. 

Seeking up to $1 million in damages, Edmunda Antonia Adrian De Castellanos filed her suit on Feb. 5 in Harris County District Court, also naming Harris County and Jasmine Heights Homeowners Association as defendants. 

According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff was injured on Sept. 6, 2023, while on one of the sidewalks at Jasmine Heights. She claims a dangerous condition caused her to slip and fall. 

The plaintiff is alleging gross negligence.
