Edward Scott and Sharon Scott have filed a lawsuit against Adolfo Serrano Jr., Quanta Service, INC, the parent corporation owning Cat-Spec, LTD/Stronghold Companies in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. The case ID is not clearly stated due to OCR noise but it was filed on March 28, 2024.

The plaintiffs are represented by Gerardo Perez. They allege that on April 2, 2022, Edward Scott, a Harris County Precinct 7 Constable’s Office Evening Shift Sergeant, was severely injured and emotionally distressed when Adolfo Serrano Jr., who was employed by the defendants and allegedly drunk driving at the time, crashed into a patrol deputy's vehicle. The incident resulted in the death of Deputy Constable Jennifer L. Chavis.

The plaintiffs are seeking justice under Discovery Level 2. They claim that the defendants have purposefully availed themselves of conducting activities in Texas and thus established minimum contacts sufficient for jurisdiction over them. The plaintiffs further assert that all or a substantial part of the events giving rise to this lawsuit occurred in Harris County.
