Linda Booker has filed a lawsuit against Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. The case, with ID number 2024-21 805, was filed on April 4, 2024. The plaintiff alleges that she suffered injuries due to a slip and fall incident at the defendant's premises.
Represented by Alfred M. Benoit of Benoit Law, PLLC, Booker claims that on May 10, 2023, she slipped and fell in the hallway near the reception area and the on-site McDonald’s restaurant while visiting Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center's emergency department. She attributes her fall to a sticky residue on the floor which caused her feet to stumble and trip.
Booker is seeking monetary relief of less than $250,000 excluding interest, remedies in equity, statutory or punitive damages and penalties, attorney’s fees and costs. She reserves the right to amend this damage calculation as discovery progresses.
