Roel Barron sues Atlas Heavy LLC for negligence leading to severe injuries

In the District Court of Harris County, Texas, plaintiff Roel Barron has filed a lawsuit against defendant Atlas Heavy LLC. The case, filed on April 4, 2024, with court case ID 2024021624, revolves around an incident that occurred on July 12, 2022, which resulted in severe injuries to the plaintiff.

Barron was working on a crew directed by Atlas Heavy LLC when he was violently thrown from a bucket truck while removing a stop sign blocking the route of the company's oversized tractor. The plaintiff sustained catastrophic injuries including fractured ribs, a crushed pelvis and a collapsed lung. He was airlifted from the scene.

The plaintiff accuses Atlas Heavy LLC of negligence and gross negligence for failing to properly plan the job and operate equipment among other allegations. As a result of these alleged failings, Barron suffered severe physical pain, mental anguish and disfigurement leading to loss of earnings and future earning capacity.

Barron is seeking judgment against Atlas Heavy LLC for an amount exceeding $1,000,000. He demands a trial by jury and seeks damages for his medical expenses related to his injuries as well as punitive damages due to the defendant's alleged flagrant disregard for his safety.
