A financial company has filed suit against a Beaumont woman it claims failed to pay more than $15,000 on her auto loan account.

Equable Ascent Financial formerly known as Hilco Receivables claims Janet Boudin executed a loan with Wells Fargo Auto, but has since ceased making her required payments.

"As of February 25, 2010, there continues to be owed by Defendant to the Plaintiff an unpaid principal balance of $18,011.36," the suit states.

In addition to the money it says it is owed, Equable Ascent Financial is seeking pre-judgment interest, attorney's fees of at least $4,502.84, costs, post-judgment interest and other relief to which it may be entitled.

Equable Ascent Financial will be represented by Michael J. Scott, Teri Stewart Mace and Judith Morgan of Carrollton.

The case has been assigned to Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court.

Jefferson County District Court case number: D186-454.
