A Galveston County woman is suing over claims she sustained injuries from a car accident.
Bonnie Madewell filed a lawsuit Jan. 23 in the Galveston County District Court against Jansen J. Cosart, citing negligence.
Madewell claims on June 11, 2012, as she was driving in her car on FM 270 in League City, she applied the brakes to stop for traffic, resulting in Cosart crashing into the back of her car.
The suit alleges Cosart was driving in a careless and reckless manner, causing the accident.
Madewell is seeking damages, interest and court costs.
She is being represented in the case by Texas attorney Thomas M. Dewitt of Dewitt Law Firm.
