A Dallas man is suing over claims he was falsely imprisoned in Harris County.
Dotun David Fakeye filed a complaint of judicial misconduct June 12 in the Harris County Criminal Court against Judge Alania Wilkerson, lawyer Joaquin Jimenez and Officer Goodrich Clinton.
According to the complaint, Fakeye called police Feb. 11, when a stranger with a gun appeared at his door. Fakeye says he was arrested instead of the other man, allegedly for resisting arrest, and was wrongly held in Harris County Jail, where he developed injuries.
Fakeye claimed Officer Clinton did not read him his Miranda rights, but when the officer couldn't produce the dash cam video from his squad car, Fakeye claims his assigned lawyer, Jimenez, and Judge Wilkerson failed to help him.
The defendants are accused of coercion, misconduct, spoliation of evidence, malicious prosecution and false imprisonment.
Fakeye is seeking more than $100,000 in damages.
