A woman is suing her insurance company after they failed to pay on her accident claim.

Elizabeth Kibodeaux Hodge filed suit June 11 in the Jefferson County District Court against Progressive County Mutual Insurance Co.

According to the complaint, Hodge was driving her vehicle April 18, 2011, on Highway 69 when she was rear-ended by a vehicle with an underinsured driver.

At the time of the collision Hodge had an insurance policy with the defendant and filed a claim, which Progressive has denied, the suit states.

Hodge is seeking damages within the jurisdictional limits of the court including medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, lost earning capacity and property damage.

She is being represented by Beaumont attorney Ryan C. Scott of The Scott Law Firm PLLC.
