A Harris County man is suing his former employer over claims of discrimination resulting in his termination.

Mostafa Natour filed a complaint Aug. 21 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Bankcard Services, alleging racial/national origin discrimination.

The complaint states that Natour, who is of Lebanese descent, was terminated from his position at Bankcard Services after complaining of disparate treatment in early 2014. Specifically, he complained that the other salesman working alongside him in the company's Houston office, who was of Asian descent like the owners and higher management of Bankcard, was allowed to arrive late, take naps at work, set his own hours, and get breaks that Natour was not allowed.

The complaint alleges that Natour was then terminated on the fabricated pretext that his sales performance was lacking.

Natour seeks damages, a declaration that the defendant has violated the Civil Rights Act of 1964 regarding Natour's termination, and court costs and attorney fees.

He is represented by Husein Hadi of the Hadi Law Firm, PLLC in Houston, and of counsel by Mo Taherzadeh of Houston.
