HOUSTON – Western Airways, Inc. is seeking to recover back payment for transportation services it provided to Zaza Energy, LLC.

A lawsuit filed Nov. 3 in the Harris County 151th District Court alleges that Zaza owes Western $12,377.70 for three flights originating from Sugar Land.

Per the plaintiff, the defendant initially owed $31,237.40 and paid $18,814.70 toward the balance.

Zaza reportedly failed and continues to refuse to pay the outstanding amount, the suit says.

Western further shows that it entered an agreement with the respondent two years ago, asserting an entitlement to recovery for breach of contract.

“Western provided valuable goods and services to Zaza that provided a valuable benefit to Zaza,” court papers say.

“Zaza would be unjustly enriched if full remuneration were not made for the good and services received and costs incurred by Western.”

Attorney Christopher L. Ashby of the law firm Ashby L.L.P. in Houston is representing the complainant.
