HOUSTON – A Houston man alleges four corporations are reporting false information on his credit report.

Anthony Welch filed a complaint on Oct. 14 in Harris County District Court against Conns Credit Corp., Ally Financial, Mid Atlantic Finance and Trident Asset Management alleging that they violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 7, he discovered on his credit report from Experian that the defendants were still reporting false information. The suit states he mailed letters to the defendants on April 19 to correct the information, but has not received a response. He alleges that as a result of defendants' false credit reporting, he has suffered harsh economic damages for losing valuable business opportunities, a reduced credit score and has not been able to get a home loan.

The plaintiff holds Conns Credit Corp., Ally Financial, Mid Atlantic Finance and Trident Asset Management responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide accurate information, never changed the status of his credit report and failed to respond within 30 days of dispute.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for actual damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney's fees and costs of suit and for such other relief he may show himself justly entitled. He is representing himself.
