GALVESTON — A Galveston County couple is suing borrowers and guarantors, alleging common law fraud.

Matthew Rockett and Andrea Rockett filed a complaint Dec. 13 in Galveston County District Court against Michael Earl Barron, Jeremy Barron, Barry Kress, Houston Karting & Entertainment LLC, FRC Investments, alleging they breached their contractual promise to pay debts.

According to the complaint, as a direct and proximate result of the defendants' breach, the Rocketts sustained monetary injuries and damages. The plaintiffs allege the defendants failed and/or refused to pay the principal balance and interest due on a promissory note for $30,000, plus 6 percent interest.

The Rocketts seek trial by jury, such sums as would reasonably and justly compensate the plaintiffs, all costs of court, pre- and post-judgment interest and all other just relief. They are represented by attorneys Chad T. Wilson and Christian E. Hawkins of Chad T. Wilson Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
