Drivers Auto Repair mechanic alleges he is owed unpaid overtime wages

HOUSTON – A mechanic alleges he was not paid the appropriate rate for overtime work by his employer.

Rick Long, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated filed, a complaint on Nov. 29 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against GSSD Investments LLC, doing business as Drivers Auto Repair, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he regularly worked over 40 hours in a workweek for the defendant without receiving overtime pay at a rate of time-and-one-half. 

The plaintiff holds GSSD Investments LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly paid the same rate per hour regardless of the hours worked.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks reimbursement of unpaid wages, unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, attorney’s fees, cost and disbursements and such other and further relief. He is represented by Alfonso Kennard Jr. of Kennard Richard PC in Houston.
