Seattle Service Bureau alleged to have harassed Frisco woman with collection calls

SHERMAN – A Frisco consumer alleges she has been harassed by a debt collector's phone calls.

Tracy L. Connolly filed a complaint on May 25 in the Sherman District of the Eastern District of Texas against Seattle Service Bureau Inc., doing business as National Service Bureau Inc., alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in beginning in September 2017, she began receiving calls to her cellular phone from the defendant seeking to collect upon an alleged debt. She alleges she instructed the defendant to stop calling her and that it has contacted her 25 times since she demanded it to stop.

The plaintiff holds Seattle Service Bureau Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly invaded her privacy and caused emotional distress.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of at least $500 per phone call, treble damages, attorney fees, costs and any other relief as the court deems just and appropriate.
